Trispen was one of the 12 companies selected by the Department of Trade and Industry to represent South Africa on the SA Pavilion at CeBIT 2007 in Hannover, Germany.
CeBIT Germany is a huge ICT event with over 16 000 international exhibitors and attracts half a million visitors for all corners of the world.
While Trispen has exhibited at CeBIT over the past couple of years, this was my first time to join the Trispen contingent at the show. What a gruelling, tiring but immensely satisfying experience! Partners were sought, business was discussed and education of the global ICT world took place everyday - for seven days!
Trispen was also one of the main organisers of the "Traditional SA Wine Tasting Evenings" which took place on the SA Pavilion each night. This proved to be a run away success and a brilliant networking opportunity. Some of the South African companies felt that more concrete business deals were discussed over a glass of wine than during the frenetic pace during the day.
The Trispen team arrived back home with a wealth of knowledge on current ICT trends and a bag full of very exciting trade leads. Some partnerships were signed and more are on the negotiating table.
Trispen's @TheOffice.Wherever! product was extremely well received - and competed more than favourably against the likes of SAP, Microsoft and Cisco.
The final day of exhibiting was marked with a snow fall, which was delightful especially to the many attending South Africans who had never seen snow before.
CeBIT 2007 was a huge success for us. We know our products are great, but now we know that people from all over the world think so too! Many thanks to the many local users of our products who popped in to our exhibit to say hello.
Still smiling - Liesel Prinsloo. |
