Trispen is particularly proud of the corporate gift that Jaco is taking with him to ISPCON. It is a Trispen creation called the African ePod - a little FM radio encased in a wire and beaded frame. We would like to share with you the "African ePod story" which is attached to the radio - with Trispen's contact details of course! - Enjoy -
This is the story of germination, of laughter, music and life. This is a new story, born from the echoes of Africa's rich past and cultural blessings. This is the story of the “ePod”.
Long ago in the heart of the African plains, lions roared in the coming coolness of dusk, the great birds – of all colors and sizes – screeched, coo-d and twittered their vast freedom and the jackals began their nightly song of adventure and hunger. In was in this landscape that the boys and girls gathered the hard seed pods from the thorny acacia trees and, around the merry fire, made music to the sounds of Africa.
Shake, shake, shaking the acacia pods made the melody. Bash, bashing the big kalabashes with their large stone-like seeds made the beat. What glorious sounds resonated across the open land.
There came a time, though, when the children were no longer interested in plants and seed pods. The great evolution of time also reaches the vastness of Africa. The children now watched TV and used IBMs. They had no time for collecting the most perfectly tuned kalabashes. But - most thankfully - the joy, the laughter, the camaraderie of night-time song and music was not lost, and with the ingenuity of children, and the creativity of youth, the African ePod was born.
To this day, these ePods are found at the source of wherever the sounds of joy, freedom and life are heard.
Be blessed with your ePod. Let its joyful tunes fill your soul.
