Shortly after the return of Liesel and Gerrie from Cebit Germany, Trispen's MD, Jaco Botha, jumped on a plane. This time Trispen was off to Sydney for the Australian CeBIT exhibition (May 1 - 3, 2007).
Though much smaller than the original CeBIT in Germany, Jaco reports back that it is more personal and despite the fact that the Trispen stand was constantly busy there was enough time to establish relations and guage the status of the Oceania ICT market. Trispen's @TheOffice.Wherever! was exceedingly well received by the local resellers who were keen to discuss options to add Wherever! to their SME product portfolio. Jaco says, "there was a remarkable improvement of interest from when we exhibited Wherever! at CeBIT Australia in 2006 - which is an indication to us that Trispen continues to be ahead of the technology curve". Also, excitingly, a number of enterprise-level resellers showed great interest in the IP-Granite Satellite product, even though it hasn't been finalised or launched yet - signs of good things to come! Considering the friendliness, business efficiency and quality of resellers he met at the show, Jaco is eager to expand Trispen's presence into area. "The interest in Trispen by the Australian public and prospective partners was over-whelming," says Jaco. "We intend to formalise solid representation in Oceania very shortly." Darling Harbour, Sydney is beautiful. The show exceedingly well run. The Australian people and businesses a pleasure to spend time with. A thoroughly well-spent three days. Roll on May 2008. Trispen will be back! Returning to South Africa for the second week of May, Jaco then heads off in the opposite direction to a trade-only conference and exhibition in Orlando, America. ISPCON is open to conference delegates only and pertains to companies offering Internet-based business solutions. Jaco is certain of making @TheOffice and Trispen household names to Americans! We wish Jaco well on his travels and will give you a full report back in the next newsletter. Jaco will be back in South Africa on 1st June. |
